Set up an Affise tracking link, a smartlink, or any third-party link to monetize your remnant traffic by redirecting it.

Before you begin

Set up an Affise tracking link

To set up an Affise tracking link as a local or global trafficback URL, do the following:

  1. Select the offer which you want to use as a trafficback offer (receiving offer).

  2. Select an affiliate connected to this offer and generate an Affise tracking link in Offers > a certain offer > offer preview page.

The generated tracking URL looks like this:

https://rocketcompany.g2afse.com/click?pid=2&offer_id=6

3. Change the pid value into the {pid} macro.

The link should look like this:

https://rocketcompany.g2afse.com/click?pid={pid}&offer_id=6

The {pid} macro in this link is replaced with the ID of an affiliate, who is redirected to the Trafficback URL. This can help you understand which affiliate sends remnant and non-targeted traffic.

🔎 It is also possible to track which offer remnant and non-targeted is coming for. To do this, add sub1={offer_id} to your link.

The whole link should look like this:

https://rocketcompany.g2afse.com/click?pid={pid}&offer_id=6&sub1={offer_id}

Using this method, you can track the following info (if the affiliate passed it initially via Affise tracking URL): IP, country, city, referrer, browser, OS, device model, User-Agent, click uniqueness, other info passed via the sub1-sub8 parameters in an Affise tracking URL.

🔎 For trafficback, set up an offer without any targeting restrictions, especially if it is Global Trafficback. Otherwise, the system considers the traffic from the receiving offer non-targeted too, and it goes the same offer as it is set up as trafficback. The traffic becomes cycled and a click is not generated. You get the error ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS.

Set up a smartlink

To set up a smartlink as a local or global trafficback URL, do the following:

  1. In the Affiliate panel, select the necessary offer.

  2. Take a smartlink in Smartlinks > a certain smartlink.

3. Change the pid value into the {pid} macro.

The link should look like this:

https://rocketcompany.g2afse.com/sl?id=5a8c148a94864187413a7922&pid={pid}

🔎 For trafficback, set up a smartlink for offers without any targeting restrictions, especially if it is Global Trafficback. Otherwise, the click can't find an appropriate offer from the Smartlink, it goes for the same Smartlink again. You get the error ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS.

Set up a third-party link

You can set up any third-party link as a local or global trafficback.

If an advertiser gives you a link to a third-party service, and they want to track some additional information, do the following:

  • Ask your advertiser for the parameters of a third-party system.

  • Update the link with Affise macros.

🔎 There's no need to use the {clickid} or {click_id} macros in a trafficback URL. The system doesn't generate Affise click ID value once a click is sent to trafficback.
