Create a preset

On Affise, you can create presets (templates) for different features, such as user permissions or tickets. Presets help save your time when setting up this or that features.

A preset is a prepared suite of settings for a feature. Just create one preset, and apply it to as many targeting groups of statistics metrics, as you want.

Before you begin

  • Only users with the General manager type have access to users permissions.

Create a preset for user permissions

You can add a preset either in the relevant section (proceed with the point 1), or on the page of a particular user (proceed with the point 2).

  1. Go to Users > Permissions presets.

    1. Click the + icon (New Preset).

    2. In the Name field, enter the preset's name.

    3. Set up the needed permissions in the relevant sections. Read more about users permissions.

    4. Click Save.

  2. Go to Users > User Management.

    1. Select a certain user, and go to the Permissions tab.

    2. Set up the needed permissions in the relevant sections. Read more about users permissions.

    3. On the presets tab, click Save.

    4. Enter the preset's name.

    5. Optional. Click Save, if you want to save permissions for this particular user.

  3. Whenever you need to use the preset, go to Users > User Management.

  4. Select a certain user, and go to the Permissions tab.

  5. Select a certain permission on the presets tab.

  6. Click Save.

Create a preset for targeting groups

  1. Go to Settings > Targeting groups.

  2. Click Add.

  3. In the Title field, enter the preset's name.

  4. Set up the needed fields. Read more about targeting settings on Affise.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Whenever you need to use the preset, go to Offers > the needed offer (or a new offer) > Targeting groups.

  7. In the Presets drop-down list, select the needed preset. The system applies all the settings of the selected preset to a particular targeting group. To use some preset for another targeting group, create a new targeting group.

Create a preset for statistics

You can find presets in the Custom slice of the Statistics section. Since the slice provides a flexible system of data selection, presets may be helpful for seeing different metrics within a couple of clicks.

  1. Go to Statistics > Custom.

  2. Select the types of data, which you want to see within a preset. Read more about the Custom statistics.

  3. In the Preset title field, enter the preset's name.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Whenever you need to use a preset, go to Statistics > Custom.

  6. In the Preset drop-down list, select the needed preset.

  7. Click View.

Create a preset for tickets

A preset for tickets is a template, a prepared text for a comment, which you can send to your affiliates as a response.

You can add a preset either in the relevant section (proceed with the point 1), or on the page of a particular ticket (proceed with the point 2).

  1. Go to Tickets > Templates.

    1. Click Add.

    2. Type the text of the message, which your affiliate will receive, if you select this preset.

    3. Click Add.

  2. Go to Tickets > Ticket list.

    1. Open some ticket.

    2. Click New template.

    3. Type the text of the message, which your affiliate will receive, if you select this preset.

    4. Click Add.

  3. Whenever you need to use a preset, go to Tickets > Ticket list.

  4. Go to the ticket, which you want to reply to.

  5. In the Templates drop-down list, select the needed preset/template. Its text appears in the Comment window.
