A shortlink is a shorter version of a typical tracking URL. When users click the shortened version, they are redirected to the original URL. Shortened URLs are easier to remember, making advertising or distribution more effective. Shortlinks also prevent Affise tracking URL from blocking by Adblock and some similar services. This article describes how to create shortlinks and work with them.

💰 The feature is available only for certain plans. Contact your Affise account manager to get the feature.

Shortlinks

You can generate a shortlink here: Offers > a certain offer > Get tracking link.

Right after selecting the Use Shortlink checkbox, the system shortens the tracking link.

The standard tracking link looks like:

https://rocketcompany.g2afse.com/click?pid=8&offer_id=1443804

The shortlink looks like:

https://rocketcompany.g2afse.com/n05aPQ

The system creates a shortlink with a protocol (HTTP/HTTPS) according to your domain settings.

If you add additional parameters to the standard Affise tracking URL, the system automatically includes them to the shortlink by regenerating it.

⚠️You don't see certain parameters and macros in the shortlink, but you can check them in the standard Affise tracking link.

The set of symbols in the shortlink is unique for every combination of macros and parameters.
