What is QR code tracking?
QR code tracking in Affise is a process to get and monitor the real-time user information via a scan. It is a feature to broaden your traffic and reach even more visitors for your product. Your affiliates can help you set up QR codes both online and offline to increase the success of your campaign. QR codes are effective in different spheres, but they are especially useful in e-commerce.
How does QR code tracking work?
Before you begin, make sure you are aware of the regular tracking process described here.
The Affise system generates QR codes based on Affise tracking link. It's an alternative for a partner, who can use QR code instead of a regular tracking link to send traffic to Affise.
In the Affise system, QR code scan works the same way as a click. You get the same user information like IP-address, device, date and time, data passed via additional parameters, etc. as you get about a click.
When the system registers a conversion based on a QR code scan, you can see the message "QR code" in the Comment column on the Conversions statistics page.
How to set up QR code tracking?
To set up tracking with QR codes, do the following:
After setting up a new offer or choosing an existing one, go to the Offer preview page.
In the Send the link to active affiliate box, select the necessary affiliate and click Generate QR code.
Download the appeared QR code in the necessary format: PNG or SVG.
If you want to send a QR code to your affiliate via e-mail, select the Send QR code to affiliate checkbox and click Submit.
❗In case you want to hide tracking links and QR codes from Partner panel, activate the Hide tracking links checkbox in Settings > Affiliates > General.

You can use additional parameters in the Affise tracking link before generating a QR code.
