When working with tracking domains, you might need to update the domain's certificate when it expires. This detailed guide can help to update it and to check if it was updated.

Update a SSL-certificate

To update the SSL-certificate of the tracking domain, go to the Settings -> Tracking domains:

1. Select the needed domain and click Edit:

2. Enter your SSL-certificate (.crt) and Private Key (.key) into the SSL-certificate (.crt) and Private Key (.key) mandatory fields respectively. If you have a bundle file (.crt), which must contain two certificates, insert both of them to the SSL-certificate (.crt) field right below the SSL-certificate without any spaces.

❗ The full chain of certificates (ca-bundle) can be added to the Certificate field. It is not mandatory but we strongly recommend you to do it to avoid further problems with the domain performance.

3. Click Save.

It takes up to 5 minutes to update the certificate.

Check if the certificate is updated

To check whether the certificate was updated or not, do the following:

  1. Enter the domain to the browser address bar and click Enter.

  2. Go to the certificate details by clicking:

    a) lock sign

    b) alarm sign

  3. Select:

    a) Connection is secure -> Certificate is valid:

    b) Certificate is not valid:

If the connection is not secure and the certificate is not valid, it means that the certificate has not been updated yet. Vice versa, if the connection is secure and the certificate is valid, the certificate was updated.
